Glitter Cat 2020
“The best outcome is helping other people do it.”
Going into Glitter Cat this year and deciding whether or not to apply, I wasn't sure. It's an incredible resource, but I'm also the type of person that hates to be tied to any one thing and let any one organization dictate the way that I feel about something. It took a lot for me to get here. I spent the week in Portland and had the biggest panic attack of my life on Friday. I called T. Ben from the train station and he was like "Just show up. Just come here and learn and reevaluate, but like this is a safe space for you and we want to hold this space for you." So I came.
And I have like pushed my understanding of what this organization is and what it can be. It's like a very level playing field, and so utilizing the tools that I am learning here and getting to teach them to others in the future so their voice is heard is like the best outcome for Glitter Cat, even if I don't top six this year.
The best outcome is helping other people do it.
